What is Kangaroo Math Competition?

Kangaroo Math Competition (KMC) is an annual international math competition for primary and secondary school students. The KMC is the largest math competition in the world with more than 6 million participants annually, from 69 countries. The contest originated from France and is administered globally by Association Kangourou sans Frontieres (AKSF). Each local contest is organized locally by a national organizer. KMC has been organized in Malaysia since 2013, by Kangaroo Math Malaysia.

Kangaroo Math Malaysia is a national movement to promote mathematical education in Malaysia through programs that involves students, teachers, parents and community members.

The flagship program of Kangaroo Math Malaysia is the Kangaroo Math Competition (KMC), the largest math competition in the world. Every year, the contest attracts more than 26,000 students in Malaysia, and more than 6 million students worldwide. The KMC is organized under the aegis of Association Kangourou sans Frontieres (AKSF), headquartered in Paris. Kangaroo Math Malaysia is a member of AKSF since 2012. The KMC is endorsed by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia.
